Well, that was quite the week for Australia’s fashion industry. The closure of David Jones (more on that from us next week). The various Chanel Spectaculars (how much will those shell necklaces fetch on the resale market, d’ya think?). The dreamy Dissh party at Flamingo Estate. And we digested all of it through our phones while juggling babies, toddlers, Soph’s return to work and Annie’s (hi) combustible calendar.
It’s a bonkers time of year, to be sure. Black Friday has rolled around once more. But this year, it seems to have taken on the air of the Met Gala circa 2024 — the circus is louder than ever but the dopamine just isn’t hitting the same way. We’ve reached a critical mass with choice. Our eyes have simply seen too much! It’s all had us longing for a little more curation, a little more friction and little more discovery of our own making (not the algorithm’s).
With that in mind, here’s our extremely personal curation of the top 10 things we’re adding to our saved folders this month. Also, we have a Shop My now. It’s a nifty place you can browse some of the pieces we’re loving right now, all in the one spot — including many of the pieces in our Shopping List below. You can visit it here.

Sophie
RE/DONE / Classic Tee Goofy — $ 260
I come to you four months into postpartum, deeply under slept, highly hormonal, freshly weaned from breastfeeding (desperately wanted to make it work but it didn’t) — it’s a party over here. But what better way to treat oneself than by spending nearly $300 of paid parental leave cash on a silly t-shirt. I’m yet to convince myself to take the plunge, mainly because even a pub meal is a splurge right now, but I’m nearly there and feel the props from my toddler alone will be worth it. It’s the back for me ♥️

ST AGNI / Everyday Thong Heel 50 in Coffee Suede — $349
I have a few more events to get through before the end of the year, and my footwear department is turning up either painfully high heels or overly familiar silhouettes. I love these by St Agni — they look like little chocolate bows and bring a lil’ fresh edge to the ‘thong heel’ trope. Heel height is tolerable but still gives me that little bit of length I want in a party lewk. And I’m finding a rich espresso brown is the perfect softener to both blacks and creams/whites. Basically, what I am saying is, I plan on being a walking, breathing, talking cappuccino this summer.

ADINA EDEN / Double Ball Link Drop Lariat Necklace — $85.98 (On Sale)
You might’ve noticed that after a long reign, choker and shorter necklace styles are being tabled for a longer pendant or strand. A natural evolution and I’m excited for it.
I recently purchased this thinking it was going to fill the long gold necklace shaped hole in my repertoire but it unfortunately just felt cheap, far cheaper than it should’ve for $150. This similar style was also on the list but there’s something about the chain that feels NQR. But this lariat style is also speaking to me. I wanna layer with my shorter styles over my basic tees, because it’s all i’m wearing right now. And for when I find that perfect long heavier gold chain, that isn’t solid for obvious reasons, i’ve got my eye on this and this to attach. If you’re wanting to channel Linda Tol, as I, this is gorgeous.

COU COU / The Tank in Grey Cotton Jersey — $79 (approx)
In our recent wardrobe edit, Soph convinced me of the need for a heather grey singlet for spring/summer layering. I have had my eye on this Hanes x Re/Done one — I’ve cycled through three in white over the last few years, and I maintain that it is the perfect weight and silhouette for a tank, which helps justify the $155 price tag (woof). But, like every other woman with an algorithm, I’ve been loving Cou Cou’s basics. This one is extra sweet with the little bow detail, and the shape looks great, too. The grey is a more interesting option for layering under all my oversized button-downs (my spring/summer uniform!) — especially this white number from Three & Seven.
Sophie
ALIAS MAE / Harriette — $229.95
I have a brown / chocolate sandal gap which is surprising even to me because I already own so, so much chocolate. I need a pair that I can wear comfortably for at least 4-5 hours while shopping for work, without being too chunky — which is harder to find than you’d think. I’m loving these Alias Mae in both the choc suede and the ivory.
I’d say more but I literally have nothing left to say on the matter, so i’ll let the rest of my open tabs do the talking below.

Annie
CAMILLA AND MARC / Irida Brooch — $280
I’ve been on something of a brooch odyssey these last few months, so please allow me to go on something of a brooch tangent. A brangent!
We are living in a new golden age for the brooch. Its cultural renaissance is well underway, coinciding with a more maximalist, individualistic, taste-forward approach to dressing in general.
But there are brooches…and then there is jewellery for your clothes. I’m really only interested in the latter. The difference is in the styling.

The brooch in question needs to interact with what it is pinned on in a way that introduces contrast and tension. A sculptural, hard brooch that gathers a slouchy cashmere knit at the waist — tick. A be-tasseled or waterfall-style brooch pinned to the stiff lapel of a tailored blazer — tick tick. Hard versus soft. Playful versus serious. A brooch needs to be in dialogue with what it’s pinned to.
Right now, I’m drawn to brooches that introduce a bit of movement to my outfit. Literal movement. I want to jangle when I walk. I want to shimmy when I turn around. I want that textural, handmade, crafted element to bring a softness to all my tailoring.
This is good from Lie Studio, and I quite like this vintage art deco rhinestone number (but the cost of shipping is stupid). This Rebecca Collins number is divine, but not quite what I am after and this is adorable if you were in the market for something smaller (could also turn that heart into a necklace..!).
After much late-night consultation with my browser, I have narrowed it down to two options: the Camilla and Marc pearl Irida Brooch linked above — perfect in its size, silhouette and texture. And the below vintage number I’ve found on 1stDibs, which is double the price but is also my current hyperfixation. The shape, the quality, the pizazz of it! It is so elegant and so ridiculous at the same time.
A few others on the market that I located and loved below.

Sophie
A-ESQUE / Braided Strap — $300
I haven’t carried a proper handbag in months if not years. Having kids means adopting a new mode of transportation in the pram, ridding you of the need for a handbag — it’s both liberating and disorienting all at once. But eventually there comes a day when you have to brave the world without the safety net of the pram and your handbag must then do more heavy lifting than ever before, both literally and figuratively. For me the list of prerequisites is high. I don’t like to switch bags often so it’s got to service all of my various life modes: mum / slave / work bitch, ever so seamlessly. It must be big enough to hold snacks / wallet / sanity, yet small enough to be handsfree and cross body. Most bags that fit this description are fugly, even the really expensive one. I’ve never met a cross body strap that I actually liked.. until now.
Annie
MARLE / Caster Skirt — $400
Speaking of nods to Lewis at the 2025 Met (waist sashes are truly everywhere now) I was overjoyed to get a notification from Marle that this gorgeous skirt from their Spring 2026 collection was back in stock in my size.
Marle is a beautiful NZ label, consistently creating the kind of resortwear and knitwear that makes people stop you on the street to ask you about your outfit. There’s a quiet confidence to Marle’s output that is really appealing to me. Their new spring collection introduces a fabrication comprising cotton, silk and metal. According to Marle, the metal content gives the fabric a dynamic quality, allowing it to be manipulated and shaped by hand — I think that tactility is why I am so drawn to it. Another symptom of the yearning for things that yield to the touch.
It’s heaven with the matching jacket too.
Sophie
PANAME / Capital Letter Brooch — $89
So freakin cute and the safety pin is the perfect finishing touch. I’ll be purchasing and layering two for both of my boys, pinning to my blazer lapels and jazzing up my spring cardigans.
Annie
VRG GRL / Luci Sheer Maxi Dress Millefleur — $229
I have encountered two women in the last month who looked chic, and fun and both were wearing Vrg Grl! Who knew?! Well, they did. And now you do too. This is a label to watch closely.
I don’t normally wear sleeveless things (boo hoo, I know) but I love this dress enough that I may need to get a spray tan and get over it. The length, sheerness, print and those dainty little shell buttons are all speaking to me. Actually, they’re whispering to me in dulcet tones and telling me to turn off my computer, pick some jasmine off the neighbour’s fence and pour a glass of French rosé. It is November after all.
